Hunter log books/journals?

Ive been keeping a handwritten log book with one photo per hunt.My old roommate inherited his granddads and really enjoyed reading it. However I have been thinking of switching to a word document based log, and adding several small photos to a time, and printing everything at the end of each year. In theory this would allow me to edit my thoughts etc...

But I don't feel like it would have the same sentiment to my future descendents as the handwritten log I have been keeping...thoughts?

I wish i had written more down back when it happened. I am trying to write down all the good ones I can remember but after 30 or 40 years some of the details get fuzzy. Do your future  grandchildren a favor and write it down now

Mine are handwritten. I can add pictures to the pages later, if I want, and draw sketches as I go. Little drawings of dreams and concepts, things I couldn't shoot in the field.

I have no computer in the woods.

Do both.  Keep handwritten notes and entries during the hunt, but then type it all up into a word document and make it 'fancy' that way.  But definitely keep a hunting journal that is handwritten while in camp or whatever.  It will mean much more to your kids or grandkids someday (in my opinion).  I try to do both, but have gotten lazy about putting my entries into the computer.  Heck, you never know, you might end up with a good book when it's all said and done.
