I really like using a product called "Hairline's Water Shed"
It's a fishing fly treatment to keep your flies dry.
It's a liquid and comes in a small visine like bottle.
I put it on pretty heavy on BOTH sides of the feather..till it's wet.
Let it dry for a day.
It dries completely.
It has some smell at first but completely goes away after drying.
It ever so slightly stiffens the feather..I have seen NO difference in flight after applying..I did paper test after.
In fact I think it made the feathers quieter.
I think it must hold the barbs together a bit.
It does wear off after repeated shooting.
Mostly on the fletches that get bent the most on the shelf and riser.
I can't say how many shots it takes...quite a few.
It stays on pretty well.
You can reapply with no problem.
You can let the faucet run on your feathers after using this stuff. Just beads up water.
If you're doing a dozen get 2 bottles.
I think they're about $5/bottle
Other than that I hear goose feathers are pretty awesome.

Given that you hunt with bow quiver and backpack, what about theSafarituff Arrowmaster ... I wear mine with my backpack and it works really well . then I never have to worry about rain whether packing in or actually hunting

I've got a camo bag that is lined with plastic on the inside with a drawstring that slips over my arrows. Works great.

I have some goose fletching. When in a hotel, those show caps for free work well as the elastic can be twisted to hold tightly. I keep one around for emergency showers. We can see our rain coming from California, so we do not have many emergency storms
I lived on Adak so I do know AK weather
