I just finished shooting about 20 times. Had one break today that had an arrow penetrate near it. Upon the arrow wiggling as it settled into the target it bumped into another arrow. One side of the white nock wasn't there when I retrieved all the arrows. This was not a robinhood type situation.

I have noticed the ones it happens to most do not fit snugly into the carbon shaft. They fit just tight enough to stay put. Perhaps when the molded nocks cure they shrink a bit too much.

Has anyone bounced this off the GT guys?  If all of you that have had nocks blow sent in the nocks to them, they have to look into it.  It is easy for the rest of us to shoot an email asking what they intend to do.  If we have it, what do wheel shooters do with those powerful thrust forces?

Had another break last night- solid white.  They are shearing off right at the shafts.  That is about 7 in the last couple of months with 3 dry fires.  Been shooting them for about 6 years.  Never had the problem until this year.  Done now though.  Removed them all from all my arrows.

is this just an issue with new arrows? I bought several last year and have shot a lot, never had one break that was not hit, shooting from bows that draw 71# to 58#.

Hill- if you saw my posts. . . I likewise never had a problem until this year.  It has nothing to do with hitting them or accidentally breaking them. . . they just fatigue right where the nock meets the shaft and breaks off upon release.

I am going to signature nocks.

Fellas, after an attemt to e-mail G/T's customer service and continually getting aggrivating prompts in order to send it, I called instead. The gentleman I spoke to was very helpful and attentive. He instructed me that it was an issue with a former supplier and as early as next week all shafts that leave their facility will do so with a new type. He even made an attempt to send me replacements but as I've not broke but a few dozen I declined.I'll resort to a different brand nock until the old ones have been purged from inventories. Thanks to those of you who notified them action was taken.Best wishes!

I have been shooting Gold Tips for seven years and have never had a nock break unless hit by another attow. Must be something related to newer stock nocks. I am going to replace the nocks as soon as possible to prevent a dry fire.

I've shot them ever since I switched over from aluminum 10 years ago. I've never had a GT nock fail either. I also haven't bought any new shafts in a year or more. Glad I'm stocked up for a while. Hopefully no one gets hurt or damages their bows.

I wrote and got an answer.  He says it is isolated in that they had some bad batches. He is willing to replace broken ones.  This is an action of a company that will service customers.  He gave me a 800 number and I will call on Monday.  Stand by for more

Not trying to pick on the service, and I am usually pretty easy going - but this is a pretty extensive  issue!  Hate to see an honest business struggle, but I would think there should be a recall?  This could be serious with broken bows and injuries!

I just had one break last night. It cracked from the groove, to the bottom of the nock and split in two. Essentially a dry fire. My Robertson seems OK though, thanks goodness.
