Well gents my first season in North Carolina starter off with a bang. Day 1 ended with two squirrels and a small doe hitting the ground due to a certain 68# longbow, some ted nugent gold tips, and a couple of magnus broadheads. All of it on video to boot! Pictures to follow...

Nice job! I got busted by 2 does when I turned my head to make sure a squirrel wasn't about to run down my back. I never even knew they were there. Saw 2 more later, but they cruised by about 40 yrds. away and never broke stride.

I also got busted by a doe when she smelled where I rung out my socks and pants. I did not anticipate the creek being high...beavers built a dam.

If I read your post correctly you got a couple of squirrels. Unless I am mistaken, squirrel season doesn't open until October 17 in NC.
