Opinions of Ash as a core wood

Never shoot a bow with Ash as a core wood, looking for your opinions. The bow is a long bow if that helps.
Thanks.

I've talked to a number of "High End" Bowyers who use Ash alot with Great Results ... I really doubt it matters much, It's 99% design of the Bow, not so much the woods {or grass} used, but you probably already knew this ...

AdamH, I agree with what you said. However, I do believe you can "feel" the difference when pulling a bow back. As an example, I don't at all care for "feel" of bows having Rock Hard Maple as a core. Maybe it's just me.

Some big name bowyers use ash frequently. Roy Hall and Dave Dwyer are both ash fans. I like it also, I would consider the "feel" to be that of red elm. Doesn't load up fast, but gradually. Lots of follow through. LF
