SBD String for Dryad Orion??
« on: September 14, 2011, 04:24:00 PM »
I have my 60lb Dryad and was thinking of putting one of the SBD strings on it.  Figure I would have to go with the 10 strand due to the weight.  Will the dryads take that type of string??  Any assistance would be great.

Thanks
Dan

Dan,
I'm pretty sure my Dryad Orion static tip recurve came with SBD strings when new. I think mine are 10 strand for my 49#@28, but I'm sure that's heavier than needed. I'd shoot an e-mail to Mike or Jason and see what they tell you. Then you'll be safe.

Dan,  I shoot 6 strands on all my bows, 2 being dryad ILF static recurve limbs, 2 Two Tracks Ambush's, and a 69'K-Mag. No issues what so ever. Just about everyone at our archery club shoot 6 or 8 strands as well. In 3yrs I have not seen a damaged bow, and we shoot a ton of arrows. I would think 8 strands is what you are looking for.  I'm 10 lbs lighter than you are.  I would call Pierre and JP, see what they reccomend.  Don't tell Pierre I said so but they are very competent and knowledgable.
