We are heading to Maui for app 10 days (Feb 2-12)and was wondering who might have some ideas, connections, etc of what is available, the hoops to jump etc. Am from NW Alberta and be first time there. Friends have a time share and we will hook up with them. Not one to lay around on the beach LOL too much so was thinking ....

Head out to the Nepali coast. Hike the trails and shoot some goats. Bring a Thermocell.

Maybe try those who live there...
Ryan Sanpea "S2 Bowstrings" and his hunting partner Ryan Kohastu.
Don't know them, just saw R. Sanpea post here about his pard's hunting video in Hawaii.
Good luck.

The Napali coast is on the island of Kauai, and you will NOT need a thermacell while hiking.
If you plan on hiking in and staying over night, then maybe the Thermacell.
Plan on spending the day hiking in, and hunting the next day, and hiking out the next.
Get a hold of DHR, or Steve.H here on the site and they can tell you EVERYTHING you need to know about hunting the coast.

I think there is some paperwork / liscensing / registration stuff you have to do by mail before going over there to hunt. Nothing major if I recall correctly but it is necessary.

Jason is correct, you will need to get an exemption letter from the Hawaii DNR . I can send you the links if ya like. It only took 3/4 weeks to get my back. You can buy the licence online as well.
