Impressed with Woodsman Elites
« on: September 22, 2011, 09:34:00 PM »
I shot a doe last evening with a 200 gr Woodsman Elite. The shot was angling away and entered kinda far back it hit the offside shoulder low and broke it but I did not get an exit hole. I was going to re sharpen the head but it did not spin true. I was not very happy 13 bucks for a broadhead and it bends on the first(game) shot. Well I put a field point on the Goldtip shaft and it did not spin true either. I then put the broadhead on another shaft and it spins perfectly. The aluminum insert in the shaft is somehow messed up but the head is fine.
 That is one tough broadhead.

Haven't had any luck with the woodsman elites yet in the field. They sure are annoying on broadhead targets though...hard on the fletchings as the head passes through from more than 20yds. Will have to try against rinehart 18 to 1.

Rusty, I was going to go with the VPAs but needed some other stuff from 3rivers so just ordered the Elites. Same head though.
