I am considering purchasing one of these short longbows and would appreciate feedback from those who own or have shot either bow.
Thanks,Tom

My son has a bama royal expedition. The bow flat shoots. Both of us shoot this bow very accurately. Nate is great to work with and his craftsmanship is very high quality.

Thanks Guys. I think that both are great bows but I have never shot or held a Bama Longbow so its really difficult to make a decision.

I just got an Expedition and I couldn't be more impressed with it. I have also been shooting Nates D-Bows for going on 2 years and everything he does is first class. Awesome bows, great guy.

I'm already planning my next couple bows, and they'll be BamaBows. Slowly thinning the rack to exclusively Nate's bows. Between his D-Bows and now this superb short hybrid he's got all my needs covered. I will confess a desire to flirt with a Mohawk though.    :scared:

Thanks everyone for your input. I think that I will need to examine a Bama Bow before making a decision. They both come highly recomended.

I have 3 Bamas, 2 66in straight limbed longbows and a 60in Expedition Hunter (40lb) R/D, that Expi is the smoothest longbow I have ever shot, and I am not a Reflex/Deflex guy, my son has an Expedition in a 64in length! I now have an all Osage Expi 62in model on order! Whats nice about Nate is he will spec your bow anyway you want it and his turn around is usually fairly fast! Even more so now he just had is first kid! LOL Dwyers are a great bow as well you couldn't go wrong there either! for me though its a Bama all the way!

I was looking closely at a Bama bow. Then I bought a used Lost Creek bow - 56" 48@28. Fastest bow I've shot yet. Of course the fact that I'm drawing 29 3/4 helped make it fast. I contacted Chad Francis and he said I wouldn't break the bow, but would probably enjoy a longer bow even more. Long story only slightly longer, Chad is now making me "the bow of my dreams" and I am going to put the 56"er back up for sale for someone with a shorter draw. Chad said come January, his lead times will go back out, but right now he can get my bow done in 2-3 weeks. He has four different forms and can combine features to give me the limbs, riser and grip that I wanted. I shot everything he had in the shop. I was astounded at the speed we got over the chrono from a little 36#. I bought a 47# 60" recurve that he had in stock and Chad's doing a 62" R/D longbow for me that is going to be my pride and joy. Might want to take a look at what Chad Francis is doing. lostcreekbows.com.

I've shot both the Endeavor and the Expedition. Both are great bows and incredibly smooth. In fact, I had my eye on the Endeavor after shooting it at the 2010 Kzoo Expo but I liked the options available at Bama so I went that route.

I'm very happy with my bow. Both are great.

Thanks Guys. It sounds like I can't go wrong with either bow. I think that I am leaning toward the Bama Bow. Good luck to everone in the upcoming or on-going season .
