They are great shafts, very consistent in weight and spine and give excellent penetration.
They have allowed far more wejght up front than conventional wisdom would allow and weight can be added by tubes as well as brass inserts.

I shoot then and they do very well. I have mine full length with 250 grains up front from a 52@31 recurve that is cut 1/8 before center. I foot mine with some 2018 aluminum pieces about 2" long and this makes them pretty much bullet proof. I too have noticed that they can handle more wight up front than any calculations gives me. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Excellent choice of arrows. Best arrows I have ever used. Mine are the 500 spine MFX Classics. I also have 2" of aluminum 2020 footing on the end of my shafts. Almost indestructible! My specs are in my sig. below.

Those should shoot great with about a 150 to 175 head on them. I shoot the 340's in my 68# @ 30" Dwyer Defiant. with 175 heads.

Great arrows!!!
I have mine cut at 29.5", with 100gr. brass inserts, and 145gr field points. They fly great out of 3 of my bows.

They're the best.
My MFX 340 passed completely through an elk at 18 yards last week. The arrow was lost in thick brush 20+ yards after the pass through.
Bow was a Saluki Ibex, 62@28 with 75 grain insert and 150 grain Steelforce broadhead.

From the feedback, one might get the impression that they are a decent arrow.

Most durable arrow I've ever used. My mfx 400 are cut at 29 1/4 inch 100 gr brass insert and shoot 250 gr up front out of a 60 # longbow at 28 inch. They fly like a dart with any type of broadhead I put on.

Excellent arrows. Very durable. For your setup Id try the 100 grain brass inserts and a 145 grain point. Info based on the results I get from a setup similar to yours.

My favorite arrow shaft. I have 600 spine for lighter set ups and 500 spine for a heavier arrow. After 'discovering' the Beman MFX I don't even think about other arrows anymore.
I did some quick plugging in Stu's calc. I assumed a lot. I assume your arrow will be 31" if you are drawing 30"? If your point is 100 grains with a 50 grain insert (breaking off the 25 grain nib). If you are shooting a centershot LB with a B50 string:
You have almost a perfect match.
If you bump up the broadhead weight any your arrow is going to become too lightly spined with such a long arrow.
