Alright, guess I ought to finish this one up.
That evening we decided to go after deer again, wanted to sit that stand in the evening.  Cory said he had seen 3 bucks go by there the night before, while sitting in another stand.  After a short while, a few doe's and a bunch  of fawns started to wander in.  Not having anymore doe tags, and not wanting to punch my "A" tag yet, I just watched, at one time there were 6 deer under my stand!

This little guy walked right up to the ladder and just stood there munching on some cottonwood leaves!  This lasted for awhile, and then all of the sudden from nowhere this nice 3 point showed up, he came in real cautious like, and it took him forever to come through the clearing.  As he was working his way through, something happened and he was gone quicker than he showed up.
About 5 minutes later a spike came in followed by a smaller 3 point.  While this one was cautious, he was a little bit more relaxed than the bigger one.  well he came in and about 15 yards out he stopped and turned to have a bit of a snack.  That was all I needed and it was arrow away!  As I watched the arrow go it was looking pretty good until that moment when I could see that it was just going over the top of his back!  A clean miss, and he was out of there.  The other 2 deer that came in with him stayed a bit and continued to eat.

And so the sun set on another "epic adventure" in Montana!!!

Sounds like a great trip.  Congrats!
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.
