As long as there is a smooth transition from field point to insert, they come out easy. If I stick a 22/64 point on a 1916 shaft, the back of the point will catch and require a bit more pull. As long as the point/shaft junction is smooth, they slide right back out. I made a 2x4 frame that is hinged at one end to a retaining wall. I can swing it out of the way if I need to get something into the back yard. I put one layer on each side of the top horizontal 2/4, added another strip of 1x4 and fastened the 3rd layer to it. Not very elegant, but works for me. I'm shooting 45 - 50# bows. I would guess some of the stronger types that are shooting 65# bows might find it inadequate.
