I got 6 Wensels mounted on 125 gr screw in adapters.  3 of them are rough sharpened with the file.  I'm hoping to shoot them in the next couple of weeks.  Bowhunting for deer starts the Friday before Labor Day here.

I think I have the jump on everyone.  My season starts 8/1 and have been shooting only BH's for way over a month.

Yep, been shooting a few different kinds, still trying to figure out which I'm going to use. Been shooting Zwickeys, Old Bear Razorheads, Grizzlys & I'm fixin' to try a copy of the old Pearson Deadhead called the Buck Dreaded Head.

I hope they fly good, they're considerably larger than any of the others I've been shooting. Just got them mounted up on tapered sitka spruce shafts this afternoon.

I shoot broadheads all the time with my field points. I'm not satisfied if my broadheads don't hit with my points. It's the only tuning I do.

I will shoot some the last week or so before the season starts. My bows are tuned so broadheads shoot just like my feild points so it really is just a matter of changeing points.I see no reason for shooting up my targets with broadheads other than to shoot each arrow a time or two to make sure all are just right before sharpening them up.

Marko, what are waiting for? I try  not  to stop tuning my broadheads  ;)  ...I tuned a Wensel Woodsman on an Angora goat in Texas in March, tuned a Pearson Deadhead from a recently departed loved one on a bear about 2 weeks ago in Canada, and hope to tune a Simmons Interceptor or STOS on a hog this coming weekend.

Seriously though, I've always got at least a doz broadheads of mixed manufacture sharp, test shot, tuned, etc. ready to go at any time. You never know when a good friend is gonna ask you to go hunting...be prepared I say!

mike g and Bowmania... I got the jump on the both of you.  I can hunt year round this year!  :D

I've had the new bow 2 weeks and the broadheads are grouping with the field points... time to go find one of those button bucks from last year's fawns (TASTY!)

I always tune with broadheads and find that filed's and judos shoot perfect.  It isn't always the other way around.
