the narrower and thicker dimensions at the fades of the sparrowhawk does add a measure of "forgiving stability" that i noticed during testing, while the overall performance remains very much the same as any mohawk: smooth draw, clean release, good heavy arrow speeds, consistent accuracy.

not saying that everyone will notice/feel the improved stability - perhaps only those that have been in the longbow game for awhile, have shot *many* longbows of varied designs and configurations, know what to look for and can feel that objective difference.

Every so often we stumble onto a product or company that really stands out.

 I only have the one Sparrowhawk so I can't make a comparison to the standard Mohawk. But the Sparrowhawk works for me so well that I have another one on order!

I have a Mohawk I traded with Brother Mudd for over a year ago. It is a very good shooting longbow.Forgiving, very quiet, dead in the hand with a 10 gpp arrow and shoots plenty fast for me. In a hunting bow which is all I own the number one quality above all I want is forgiving. I care nothing for super fast . When I touch anchor on a live animal All the effort and miles of walking or hours in the Tree stand /blind come together in that one split second. The confidence I have in my regular old Mohawk longbow allows all my focus at this split second to go on the spot I want to hit. A forgiving bow that you can shoot without thinking allows all this focus on the animal at the moment of truth. If the Sparrow Hawk is more forgiving than the regular Mohawk and I`m sure it is because Rob is no infant to longbows..I would have to recommend one to folks and I`ve never shot one. Thats confidence in a Bowyer for ya.RC

mild r/d longbows like mohawks have that classic olde tyme hill-style look but with a super smooth 'n' hefty performance kick.  while i *love* a good hill longbow and will always always have one hanging in my ascham, my go-to stick bow is a mohawk.
