Is Dan Toelke the man?
« on: October 18, 2011, 09:23:00 AM »
Well, I have to agree.  Here are some pics of a 'new to me' Toelke Super D.  It is 57# @ 29" and only 66" long.  I was a little skeptical about this length with my 29" draw, but it shoots like a dream.  Probably the quietest bow that I own, and really zips an arrow.  This one has 7 different laminations.  I'm not even sure of them all, but it has a nice wine colored ebony riser and overlays, bamboo lams, and juniper veneers.  Thanks AdamH, I can't believe that you let this one go.

Dan has made me a bunch of bows and the Super Ds have turned out to be my favorites. For informations sake, I too have a 29" draw and my 64" bows easily handle it. They are the finest "Hill style" bows I have shot, very fast quieter than quiet and as always with Dan, beautifully made. As I have posted before the only down side is that I have had to wait as long as 29 days from bow order to delivery but I have learned to live with it.

Thanks, guys. I am surprised that I like it as much as I do.

RC, I may bring this down for our hunt. Can't let you be the only one with a d shape bow.

Dave, you are right. May be time for another rack.

Dan Toelke is one of the best for sure.  It would be hard to find a better bowyer to do business with.
