What a nice shooting bow for her! She loves it and was so happy she had tears as she shot the first arrows, she said it was the wind, but I think it was more than that.  ;)  I'd love to post her picture but I'm not seeing how to do so. Dad has the pics I took today and maybe he can post one for everyone.  :)  Huge thank you and big hug from Autumn to James!

I'd have to opt for a vintage "Little Bear" or "Panda" in an appropriate weight.
Some of the mid 60's Little Bears are real gems and the price just keeps going up.

I am waiting to get some day two pics, so we can see the quick development of her form. so far she has only had pics of her first three shots, but things improved very quickly and there was some serious target sticking going down.

photo bucket is not working with me today for some reason. But I finally got it working by doing the same thing over and over again.

freight to your door, I was hoping to get one of her perfected form, but the weather was not helping I guess for it to be a bow shooting day.

Apparently Autumn's grandmother is not happy about her shooting bow and arrow with the rest of the family, so she used her influence to keep Autumn away for today.  Whether it is jealousy or just the old thinking that girls should not hunt or fish, I cannot say. However, she will learn that girls can paddle canoes as good as men, there are thousands of girls on high adventure canoe trips every year. Autumn loves canoe tripping already and already has shown that she has the right stuff to be an outdoors girl. I would bet that the average percentage of women and girls with traditional bows is at a higher ratio than that of guns or modern archery gear compared with boys and men. Eventually, the gramma will learn that she has not lost anything. I take this as a temporary jealousy caused hiccup. More photos to come.  She is really proud of her new found skill.

FANTASTIC....

What a beautiful bow, and a quick study.

Having a 6 year old girl, it is great to expose her to the outdoors fishing and hunting, I'll let the chips fall where they may.

Great form...   :saywhat:
