Taper for Zwickey heads ?

I have switched to the Zwickey four blade heads, and I have noticed that my taper on my shafts are not as long as the heads taper. I shoot 11/32 douglas fur shafts and I use a hand taper tool. I want to know from those who shoot Zwickey heads what tool or taper degree you use to get the full taper for the head.Tim

Supposed to be an 11' taper, I believe.

Standard is 5* taper. I can make them any length I want with my Woodchuck and a jig and disc sander work equally well. With the cutter type you have to take what you get for length but I never found that to be a problem....I've done thousands of shafts with a pencil sharpener type.
If you can get the taper in the ferrule at least an eighth past the cut out for the bleeder you should have a solid mount and a quiet flying arrow.
Always make sure the blade in your cutter is secure and sharp. Sometimes they can get out of line.
You may be able to make small adjustments as well.

Yep. 5°, though some heads only accept 3/4" or slightly less tapered length. The 11° is the standard nock taper.

Yep, I was mistaken. The 11' is the nock not the broadhead.
Sorry.
