NE Texans... looking for some help.
« on: October 21, 2011, 10:09:00 PM »
I just found out i'll be spending the 1st 3 weeks of Dec. in Greenville, TX on business. I'll have evenings & weekends to myself & I figure what better way to spend it than hunting! I was looking at Tawakoni & Cooper WMA's since they're relatively close to Greenville. My thinking is that i'll probably focus on hogs since the non resident license is much cheaper for hogs only but if they place has a lot of deer i'll splurge for a deer license as well.

Has anybody been there before & can you give me any advice on the area? Or if you have any other recommendations please feel free to point me in the right direction.

Semper Fi, Jeff

Wish I could help. I'm a good ways from there. Wish I weren't.

I'm in Frisco and plan on hunting lake Lavon for duck and hear tons of hogs.  I've been in Tx for 3yrs and still haven't seen a hog yet.  Good luck!
