Good job on the recovery and writing the story.  That would be a great story for a beginner to read to help understand the importance of understanding anatomy and pay attention to where the arrow hits.  Also, you did a great job detailing all the effort put in to find a buck you were sure was dead.

Thanks guys. It was a long weekend to say the least.

Doc, yea the meat was still good! He was laying in a creek bottom, that typically stays ten degrees cooler than ambient temp.
