Everything....wax it all...Bee's wax is my favorite...rub it up and down the string real good, then get a piece of soft leather and fold it over the string. rub it back and forth till it heats the wax up using friction. it melts into the string....you can not over wax your string if you rub it in well....i wax mine every time i hang the bow up after use. in wet weather hunting i do it daily whether shooting or not.

some guys may say that is over kill, but when waxing your string you are looking at every inch of it. after hunting in the brush all day, waxing and inspecting your string is not a bad thing.....some people check thier oil every time they fill their tank with gas....others only change their oil in their cars every 6000 miles, and never check it at all.....you decide which is right for you bro....

Kirkll, said it pretty well.   I don't wax nearly that much, but the process is how he says to do it.  The burnishing is important to melt the wax into the fibers.  I do mine about once a month.

I like to rub it on pretty heavy and then take a hair dryer and go over it, rubbing the wax into the string as the hairdyer softens it. How often depends on how much I am shooting. Once a month is probably good.

It doesn't matter how or what you shoot, as long as you hit your target.

There are several types of bow wax. I Think the stuff i have now is called tex-tite  there is seal-tite you can google bowstring wax and get lots differnt brands. Or if your feeling manly find a tree thats buzzin and stuff your arm in the hole.  the wax and honey are free along with the welts.
Sticks and stones break deer bones.
