One of my students the other week brought an old pearson bow to me and said it was given to him and wanted me to help him get it going. Well of course I agreeed. I got on trad gang to get some info.
A great gentleman named KHALVERSON offered to give the boy a string. Man what a string it was perfect with silencers already installed.
The boy came over today and I rigged him up. 7 arrows, 4 judos, 2 field points, 1 Flu Flu. Loaner back quiver, loaner Asbell video, loaner bowhunters handbook, new glove and armguard.
We stared out with working on the basics shooting into the bales. Then moved to the field for some roving. Now the only part I didn't like was when he took my hill and didn't want to give it back. He shot for over an hour up and down the draws and ridges, through creeks and oak flats. He even barely missed a water moccasin.
The greatest part was when he hit a bow pie at 20 yards. Looked at me with a Texas grin and said "Wow this is better than Basketball".
He was sad when is dad made him load up to go to chruch.
I would like to thank yall in the gang for the info and KHALVERSON for his great string.
