Just finished watching The Real West - Indian Weapons and the Warrior Society on the Biography
Channel. One of the historians/experts was the late Jay Massey. It was nice to see the man which
I have had many hours of solitude with in the form of the 4 books I have of his. I miss his view of hunting and fair chase and most of all his writing. If it airs again, view it and visit
with the man.

Dang, I missed it! I was lucky enough to meet Jay back in the fall of 1996 and spend a few hours with him. He was the "real deal" - an honest, hardworking man with a real talent for archery and hunting. Please let us know if the episode should air again. Thanks

Jay Massey got me interested and started in primitive archery through his writings. I have both of his bow building books, The Bowyers Craft and The Book of Primitive Archery, which he signed for me, and even now I use them for referance.
I would like to see this program. I'm sure it was very interesting. Pat
