The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

I don't know anything about SI but I have plenty of KOM. They have two weights. Their lightweight wool is warm, breaths very well and isn't heavy at all. If I am hiking in the fall all I wear underneath is some silk underwear.

I wear my KOM when hunting the Rockies for the last 20 years, when I climb in cold weather is the only thing I can wear without sweating,I can't wear syntetic when I climb.

I've had every KOM piece all the way back to when the "ten ring" was still made, including glove and gauntlets, gaiters, etc.. Great stuff, versatile, tough, it is a bit heavy, but IMHO, not worth THAT hefty price tag. I do like the omni lite, the only pieces I still own are the bun lites and the hooded anorak. Just WAAAYYYY too much money. Plenty of alternatives much more reasonably priced.
