Revived 76er

I owned a Bear 76er when I was a kid and carried it a lot. I liked that it was nearly indestructible. My hour long commute along country roads had me wishing for a trunk bow every time I saw game. So I bought a project 76er from Bearbowman and refinished it. I sanded and primed the limbs and riser.
Then I painted the riser green and the limbs brown. I added a set of Onestringer canebrake Limbsations and an old Kwikee Kwiver.
I have also added puffs and buttons. Now it rides along waiting for game to cross my path.

Cool! Thise 76ers are underrated, IMO. Nice job.
Grips can be hard to come by, though, and you can wrap the handle with leather or something if you need to.

LOVE IT...I found one at the rescue mission two summers ago. Sanded the riser and repainted it as well. It is now my fishing bow. Before I mounted that reel though I managed to plug a half dozen bunnies. I love small game hunting with a bow.

Nice job! The grips come up from time to time on the auction site.

I still have mine that I learned to shoot on. Its only 35# so I use it to work on form mainly. It still has the original paint and grip on it. Yours looks pretty sweet, but I don't think I could ever customize mine. I would just refinish it.
