You know.......that's why a lot of guys still have and hunt with them....
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

I really, really like my Hill but if I ever go back to recurves, that's exactly what I'll be looking for.

Cool thread!

Find it quite satisfying when I either see, hear or read that someone has reached their own personal summit.

The first really nice bull elk I killed I killed with a bow just like that but 55 lbs. I have always had a soft spot for those bows since then. I can to this day see that bull whirling from 25 ft away and the fletch buried in his side. Its a sight that is burned in my brain along with my like for the Grizzlies.

God bless you all, Steve

I recently got a Bear super Mag. 48" and then a Bear Kodiak, both shoot real good especially the 65 Kodiak, can't explain it, just makes me look like a real good shooter. Not to take anything away from my Leon Stewart LB, but it's a real good shooter also.
  • Leon Stewart 3pc. 64" R/D 51# @ 27"
  • Gordy Morey 2pc. 68" R/D 55# @ 28"
  • Hoyt Pro Medalist, 70" 42# @ 28" (1963)
  • Bear Tamerlane 66" 30# @ 28" (1966)- for my better half
  • Bear Kodiak 60" 47# @ 28"(1965)
