Mohawk or Savannah Longbow

I am thinking about ordering my first long bow in the spring. I have heard great things about both of these longbows. I like the looks of the Savannah but I can get Bamboo cores with the Mohawk. I have a 27in draw and am getting a 45# bow. I will mainly be hunting deer. Give me your opinions please. Rob and RC, chime in I know you both have Hawks.
Thanks

I hesitate to say one bow is better than another because what may shoot great for me may not shoot great for you. That being said I have owned the Savannah, and they are a nice bow, but prefer my Mohawk. The Mohawk is very smooth and loves a heavy arrow. The only thing I would change about my Mohawk is that it is a one-piece and wish it was a t/d--I will order a takedown in the near future. BTW, Vince is a great guy to work with!!
Thanks,
Joe

I have shot a Savannah and it shoots great the grip just didn't fit my hand right. Never shot a Mohawk, but from what I hear they are a great bow. I found my "ONE" though in a T-Hawk diamond series ss one piece hybrid.

Its not even a close comparison, Ive shot a Savannah, have owned a few Mohawks, and the current Mohawk's being made by Vince are among the best mild r/d longbows being made today.

As another that's shot both I'd take the hawk, plus you can't beat the price on the one Rob has for sale!

they're different bows as the savannah is an aggressive r/d and all 'hawks (mohawk/sparrowhawk) will be mild r/d that brace to a "D" limb shape.
i've had/have both, both will get the job done, it's just a matter of personal preference.

What Rob said,,,,,2 different bows , both good ones, but different. See if you can find one of each to try somehow.

I think I'm going with the Hawk. Thanks for the input to all. I wish I had the $ to get Rob's now. Should be placing my order in the spring.
