Does this count?
« on: July 14, 2007, 08:54:00 PM »
Found some woodies that the Shrew really seems to like. Last set before calling it to dark the second arrow did this to the first.

The second still hit the target though it was low.

Seems more than the Shrew likes the arrows. Good shooting but sympathy on your loss of a fine arrow. If cedar at least the aroma helps heal the wound.

This arrow will becoming your way for the boys Joe. Figure you could cut it down and they can bang it around.

I don't see a RH happening with woodies unless BHs are involved. This is about as close as I can get with a field-point. The nock appears to have evaporated because I can't find it.

I have shot one with woodies and it was  afield tip, it split perfect about 5"s from the other tip. I have done it several times with carbons, none of which were intentional!! Nice shooting though! Shawn

The tips on these are pretty fat and the nocks are pretty big themselves. The Sitkas are impossible to RH, the metal the nock is glued to makes sure of that.

LOL!!!! I'd like to know how to shoot nickles like that too!

Nice shooting Vermonster!!! You seem to be getting over your surgery nicely....Don't over do it bro....

Hey Shawn...You ever do a call shot Robin hood? i did it at a 3D tournament one time. It was a choice moment with a bunch of guys watching...i destroyed another guys ACC who desperately needed taken down a notch or two.The guy was a cocky son of a gun, and a good shot too. He shot one right dead center in the bull and made the statement "You cant beat that shot"...I told him to say goodbye to his arrow, and actually pulled off the shot.....I'm certain the good lord guided that arrow....It'll never happen again...
