That Summit climbing portion in the picture of the hammock seat isn't the same as the open shot

Thanks for the info and link for the net seat.I ordered one for my Summit and my Lone Wolf.I think they will work great on the Summit, giving me more usable platform area.I do not like having to stand all the way out on the front of the platform to stand up.Gives me the heebie jeebies,lol...........

Ordered one of the Hazmore net seats for 1 of my Summit Vipers to see what all the fuss is about with a net seat. Now I know and will be ordering another for my other Viper !

Hunted out of it three times and so far I love it. Do not miss the old Summit foam seat at all. I stand most of the time anyway and the pluses far outweigh the minuses if any on this net seat. Cuts your setup and packing up time in half with NO noise. Always had to be very careful with the metal S hooks on the Summit foam seat to keep from making the dreaded metallic sounds that you can hear a mile away and leave no doubt to a deer as to what is in their house.I also like how high you sit up in the stand now, the arm rests are much more comfy and when it is time to stand much less movement getting up. Once you are up the net seat silently slides out of the way with no effort on your part. I am sold, GREAT product !

Sweet, thanks for the info onthe net seat. NEver knew something like that was available.Price is reasonable too. Wish I had seen those a couple months ago, but I'll be ordering one for my Viper.

I use an Open Shot.  I flip the seat by holding the base down with one hand and and raising it by the cushion.  I had a doe come in behind me that wouldn't come in front.  I was able to get standing and turned around with her at 20 yards with no issue.  I was 10 feet in the air.  It took me a while to do it, but it worked fine.

I like the cushion flipped up when standing.  It provides a great backrest and I can stand for a long time.  I also have much more range of shots with it.  I am not a huge fan of the base though.  I wish it was larger.

There are aspects I miss of the Viper that I sold, but for trad bows, the Open Shot is a decent stand in my opinion.  I like mine.

86 the whole seat and go with the hazmore...it's lighter and geared towards a boww hunter...I've sat in mine for 14 hours and never was uncomfortable. Greatest modification I made. I have the older model openshot and recently saw the new one...that seat would be gone in a heart beat!!

I haven't had a problem with my open shot...yet. I have noticed that it could be a problem in the future.  I think I'll order the net seat.  Looks like a good idea.  Thanks for the great info!

Fill the back channel with can foam, it quietens it down while climbing.

Bought a stick of gray foam insulation for water pipes at HD. Wrapping my back "V" bar upright braces today. After a few more hunts I did notice the cold metal touching the small of my back and if I do not sit with good posture the bars become a little uncomfortable. I will have that problem solved quick , fast, and in a hurry with $1 worth of foam. Still loving this net seat !

Hey guys, LaTrapper turned me on to the Hazmore seat, before I order it for my old but trusty API bowhunter...
I very much like to see my feet as I climb, I have the old type footstraps that are very snug, but very precise in getting the stand around bumps and knots, etc. I'm usually able to get up/down without nary a sound if I can see the tree contact each time.
With this net seat, can you easily see thru it? Or push it forward all the way to clear sight line to my feet?
On my current cushion/backrest, I keep it rolled up tightly with a bungie, and that's working ok.
