OK guys, try this. Use the picture as a ref. This is a north TX deer whic could be bigger then the S. Texas deer.... that being said:
1. Deers ears are about 6" long from where
they meet the head..
2. The eye socket on a mature deer is
roughly 1.25" across
These are solid measurements.... This deer is likely a bit smaller in body size due to genetics so these measurements should "give" him a bit.
Now go back to the pic and take a piece of paper, put it up on the pic and mark off the length of HIS RIGHT ear. Thats 6" now go for your measurements. The mass looks to be at 1.25-1.50 at the bases and seems to go out gradually..
I figured his inside spread at between 18 and 20"
But as TJ said he looks like a 9pt. I would like to see his right beam...
