I can appreciate all the exotic hardwoods bowyers use, but my preference is still for the domestic hardwoods such as maple (curly, quilted, & birdseye), walnut, and black cherry.

Chuck, I know guys who would give $800 - $1200 for that piece of walnut big enough to get a shotgun stock out of it
