who makes the best dougalas fir  shaft here? looking for good raw shafts at a good price.thanks ED

I can easily recommend Surewood Shafts.  Google them and call direct.

I make all my arrows out of Surewood Shafts...the best douglas fir shafts on the market. Great guys to deal with also. If I can help further I'd be happy to.
Isaiah 49:2...he made me a polished arrow and concealed me in his quiver.

You can get Surewood shafts through Braveheart Archery.

I've been using the D.fir for two years and have embraced it fully.  Makes a good shaft - very straight and they stay that way.  Plus they take stain well and look great.

If you can't get the premium grade in your  spine, the hunter grade is a darn good shaft also...
