spring bear/merriam combo

I am thinking about doing a bear/merriam combo hunt this spring and was hoping you all might be able to help. I've mostly been looking at Idaho, but am open to suggestions elsewhere. I'm an experienced turkey hunter (eastern birds) but know very little about hunting bears. I think I'd prefer spot and stalk, but am not opposed to hunting over bait. Can anyone recommend an outfitter? Thanks in advance for any help.

Let me know what you find out. I would be interested in something similar. Probably more interested in the merriam but just can't get enough of them bears.
