Dryad Epic ILF limbs: impressive
« on: December 08, 2011, 07:51:00 PM »
Hello all,

I had to comment on a new to me set of Dryad ILF recurve limbs. I've tried several ILF bows but always went back to my one piece recurves and longbows. On an impulse buy I got a pair of short, 39lbs on a 19" riser recurve limbs off the classified ads.

I had the chance today to play around with the limbs. I put them on a Warfed Hoyt Specter riser and took a few shots. Very impressive. I don't have a chronograph but they seem plenty fast. Best of all the bow is super quiet compared to a set of foam carbon limbs I was previously using.

I think I may have to reconsider this ILF business. My main issue was that I couldn't find a quiet set of limbs but that problem is now solved.

I should also mention that the seller, Bownutts, did an amazing job of packing the limbs. In fact, they were better packed than some custom bows I have ordered. Thanks for that.

Nice, I have a set of XL epic curves on order. I will be putting them on a titan riser. All reports are these may be the quietest recurve limbs out there. Cant wait to get mine!

Oddly enough I also have a warfed spectra/rambo. I cut a strip of bicycle innertube to fit the limb pocket and it is very quiet with TT blackmax carbowood limbs.
