So, a buddy of mine fletched up some 2016 Gamgetters for me. When he gave me them today, I noticed that the insert was not seated up against the arrow shaft. There was a small gap,all have the same size gap. Did he do them improperly? I asked him and he said that the inserts that Easton supplied were collared, which he dislikes. He said as long as the tip is the same diameter as the insert its fine..does he know what he`s talking about?

I've never seen an arrow that was perfect.

Some of those inserts fit really tight on aluminum.I like to chamfer the arrow shaft with a deburring tool. The edge can hold the insert back alittle if cut with a tubing cutter if not chamfered.Just a thought?

Heat one up and try pushing it in a little harder. It should go in the rest of the way.
I am assuming they were bonded w/ hot melt, not epoxy.

I had a really good group going... until I shot the second arrow.

Do as lefty 4 said if that don't work remove them and take a reamer or round file and clean up inside edge of arrow then add fresh hotmelt to insert and insert them into arrow.
