Beautiful bow and if it comes from Nixa it has to be good!  I'd like one in woodland camo.

Not dissapointed, how could I be? Any Widow bow in the hand is a rush.

I just doubt that the super short sight window would suit me, so I'll stick with my dreams of a PTF for my next bow.

In the meantime my PCH is da bomb.

Terry, What I think happened was there was a "what would you like to see in a new bow" thread on the "wall" before they let out the countdown to the KB. Everyone started speculating what it was gonna be before Blacky started posting pics. The consensus was either a 3 pc. LB or a 1 pc. MA. Thats why some are kinda "disappointed". I like though!

Just received a PM requesting me to trade my PCH for a KB.

I thought for a second and realized that I had PM'd myself.

Only jesting, my PCH 'The Turkey Spyder' has served me very nicely and she hasn't had and opportunity to cut loose on a gob. This new KB bow would be quite enticing provided that I didn't already own such a nice turkey bow. She is thankfully such a nice match that I am not second guessing.

I sincerely hope the KB is an opulent success for BW as well as to those which take her home..

It's EXACTLY the bow I was hoping to see! Aside from the joke I made about a D-longbow...

The new bow is a great bow! Roger went with me to Texas back in April on a turkey hunt where we both took turkeys with our PCH's which in my opinion is the best recurve that I have ever owner or shot. Very easy to point and shoot and I love the lighter feel in the hand compared to the longer riser bows. The new KB model is just like that and since I seldom take my PCH down it is all a guy would need. Roger had one of the new KB on that hunt that he was field testing. It will be a hit.

I had the opportunity to shoot the KB -- under a cloak of dark secrecy      :scared:    -- before Thanksgiving.

Now, I'm a take-down guy.  I just don't have any interest in a bow that I can't take apart and fit pack in tighter places.  So, the KB and I don't match in that respect.  But it is a fantastic shooting bow.

And widows are in the low end of average performance?  That statement is incorrect.  Properly set up, they are excellent performers, and with a decades-old legacy of quality product and quality customer service.

I think that any "disappointment" is due to all of us kicking around ideas that it was going to be some blow-the-roof off, cutting-edge product.  Those seeds weren't planted by Black Widow; they were sown by internet chatter.  Any disappointment is our own fault!       :dunno:

I'm sure not disappointed. If I had to own only one Widow it would be a one-piece (as long as I  had a TD in another brand).

Terry

It just seemed that BW would as some have said..."think outside the box" as it were and come out with something that doesn't quite fit with their current lineup.

I didn't really hear any pre-release chatter about something, just figured that with all the hype, it was something other than basiclly the same thing they already had.

I am not really dissaponited, as even if it was a 3 piece TD LB as I had hoped, the grip on BW's does not agree with me, and I probably wouldnt' buy one anyway....that is unless the grip was different to match the different model.

I reckon there are other companies to make other styles of bow. Black Widow have a particular style, and they do a grand job of it. One company can't make everything.

Yep... wonderful! Now I am like a dog with two tails! Do I get a PCH, run with what I know in a PSA... or the newer KB?

Hmmm.... might have to put the order off till I make the long trip to the BW shop and shoot till my liddle aussie heart is satisfied!

I can't disagree with that....it has worked for them fot quite sometime now.  I have shot a PCH and it was by far my favorite BW I have ever shot...I bet the KB is no different.
