Great looking mount, Jamie!   Some of you guys are coyote killing machines.  I can't tell you how many I've missed...even at point blank range.  Truly a great trophy with a bow, in my book!   I did finally connect on a big stupid female a couple years ago...with a selfbow.

My buddy Fish Fisher shot this one while he was sleeping out on the prairie, same year...

Ha!  I think it was the yote, Ron.   I don't know....coulda been one of those mystical zen-reality dreamstate occurances perhaps....he's always been a great hunting partner, and "stuff" always seems to happen when I hunt with him!

I've never killed one with a bow, but it is not for lack of trying.

My thoughts also,  The length of snout and size of the paws.  Maybe a juvenile or a half breed feral.   Beautiful animal.

Here's one from a few years back. Missed way more than hit. They are quick.

It's really simple. Just don't take those borderline shots. Tomorrow is another day.

I was out turkey hunting this spring and called this guy in. First kill with a trad bow (other than a rabbit or two)

This is my HERO post.
You guys are the kings in my book. I cannot get even REMOTELY close to a coyote with my bow. Took my first red fox this year, but coyotes are not willing to play for me. Its my most sought after game animal right now.

This a black coyote I killed several years ago. In the south we have several different color phase.

This is what he looks like today. The fur has lightened up alittle.

To date I've killed 9 with either a longbow or recurve.

Sorry for the fuzzy pics. The first is a pic of a picture.
