And thanks to God for good weather today. After a weekend of nasty weather, I was able to run home for a few minutes today to finally sling a few arrows with Reed, my 7-yr-old. Reed received a red and black dymondwood Maddog Pup, designed just the way he wanted it. (He wanted a Darth Maul bow a la Star Wars) Also, an elf named Rusty made him the back quiver and fletched a few arrows that he asked for. After a little adjusting by Dad and a little practice on his part, he was able to snatch his arrows over the shoulder and zip them out to the bag target. Hats off to the elf known as Mike Mecredy for a creating such a great product.
Here's a couple quick pics of Reed, his Pup and his quiver.
Of lesser import, I was finally able to shoot my new-to-me Dale Dye Good Medicine. (Thanks again, Roy!) It's certainly a keeper. Once I tune the arrows a tad, I expect I'll be hunting pigs soon with this one!
Thanks for looking,
Rusty
