Thanks all.

In the fall of last year I blew up a borrowed bow (sorry Brent), and decided I needed to really try this traditional thing.

Surfing this forum somehow got me hooked up with Chad (recurves.com), and through his coaching, I purchased my first traditional bow.

Being a wheel bow hunter for the last 12 years, there was quite a level of frustration trying to achieve the expectations I had for myself, but I stuck with it.

Lots of good advice from people throughout this forum, generosity of equipment to try from others, reading and re-reading articles in TBM on shooting form, and a fair amount of back yard shooting finally began to come together.

Last weekend another TG member (bbassi) and  I road tripped to scout some property in Ohio and I was introduced to stumping.  Somehow, the gods were smiling and no arrows were lost or broken, and a decent number of stumps met their demise.

Heading out to the back yard last night to get a few rounds of shooting in, I thought how lucky I have been to experience the fun of shooting traditional equipment.  I have taken out my compound once this year, and despite liking to shoot anything, the fun wasn't there.

Anyhow, things were just going great.  Here is the last round of 6 arrows (similar to the previous three rounds) :

Thanks guys!  You have really helped and made this fun!!!!

Very cool .
“instinctive archery” is more like playing the violin. Without practice you may remember the mechanics, but you will not be a virtuoso.
