I'm going t5o be building a couple of box blinds this Spring. I'll probably only elevate them about 4-6 feet.; I'm shooting a recurve and can't decide whether to build it 4X4 or 5X5 or 4X6. Any thoughts? How tall? Dick

From my experience you need a 6x6 72" tall in center. I have several box blinds in the 4x6&8. To me they are way to narrow and they limit shot opportunities. JMO

For a bow, minimum 6'x6'x6'.At that, you have to sit or kneel to shoot.it is a simple matter to get your bow and an arrow out at home and measure from the floor to see how much height you need and from a wall to check depth.Remember,if you extend your bow arm when drawing, the arrow is 20+ inches in front of your bow hand and your drawing arm elbow is extended directly behind you.

4x6 is difficult to sit in 1 place and see out all 4 windows at the same time.

5 Sided with 4' sides gives you a ton of room
no mater what side you shoot from your elbow is always in a corner with plenty of room
works better than anything i haver ever used,
