Robertson Mystical
« on: January 06, 2012, 01:42:00 PM »
Just came in the mail my new Robertson Mystical 68" ntn & 69#@28". Ain't she something?

This r/d affection started 6+ weeks ago thinking I might not shoot heavier again after catching a falling tractor. Bad idea & my arm paid the price.  LSS, Don F., (Adirondike Bowman), offered this one to pick up the slack. It scaled right on the money. Strung her up, reset the string nock, & grabbed the judos on my way out the back door. This beaut is way nicer than I'm able to shoot just yet while restoring my full draw & anchor. BUT, it's going to make stumping practice a whole lot more fun! Can't tell how excited & pleased! Big thanks Don! Thanks also to Leo Markert for his usual sage advice. It's what you said & more!

Thought you good folks might like to have a look?

I had one of those that I wish I never sold, they're sweet shooters for sure.

Hope your arm heals up quick!

Sweet lookin' bow! I wouldn't mind trying one of those someday. You are some kind of man; catching falling tractor and using a 68# bow to rehab a bad arm! Good shooting, Jim

That bow has a fairly deep saddle from the ones I have seen. I would not shoot that bow too much.  If it acts like mine, you may find that may get use to the speed per pound. Mine are flat out fast and I swear they are as stable  and forgiving as my Hill style bows.

I think the Mystical is Robertson's best longbow.  A longbow that feels like a longbow should! Great Bows!!

Freakin crybaby. A little tractor problem and he has to jump down to the sissy weights. Oh yeah, he draws around 31", so I guess it's not TOO bad. Nice looking bow, Buddy.

Much obliged you guys.

Pavan, You're right about quick! Hated to say anything pending day 2 when I'm over the excitement. Jeez! Gonna make it a straight handle asap though with an insert & new wrap.

Danny Red, quite an offer partner. Not gonna forget that kind gesture anytime soon. Been pulling it full w/o much trouble. Just a bit weak from on my butt watching too much Oprah.

Jim, didn't catch the tractor but tried my best.

Marty, where you been hiding? You too Tony?

Thank You folks for the generous comments.

Nice bow Buddy, Now those unattended shafts in the pick should be stained to match that dark wood in the bow.Tim

Dang Pat, just saw you stopped by. It was a garden tractor we haul stuff with. Not a big tractor. My arm didn't know the difference! Sure had big fun stumping w/you in the overcast. Wasn't getting full but maybe 1 in 6 if that. But was way glad I could at all. Next time might have to charge you for the lesson! You & Michelle come back anytime.

Thanks Ipjon.
