Fixing a dented broadhead ferrule?

Was wondering if anyone had a suggestion for fixing a slightly dented ferrule on a broadhead.  I had an Abowyer Brown Bear get stuck in my cedar fence today and in the course of extracting it (after it came off the glue on brass adaptor) I managed to ding the edge a little.  

Anyone have a nifty trick for fixing these before I start looking in my tool kit for something that I can pound into it while its in a vise?

I have used a screwdriver.  Push down gently turning with more and more downward pressure till the ferrule is back in shape.  You mentioned it, but I will say it to.  Use a vise.  DO NOT use your other hand to hold the BH.

How about a wood weight?

a metal punch perhaps? light taps from a hammer.

If it's on a wooden shaft, a little extra umph when you seat the point may work. It may just seat properly depending on wehre the damage is on the ferrule.

Careless pounding will result in a more damaged/ruined head.

I have clamped the blade between a smooth vise face and tapped a steel insert in the ferrule to round them back out.

x2 to Two tracks and Stiks. And for sure use a Vise to hold the BH while doing it.

Put The BHD in a bench vice, then chuck a long steel adapter in a drill (corded or cordless)  and using a little oil on the adapter for lubrication, push the adapter into the ferule with the drill turning. Use light pressure at first then increase till the ferrule is repaired.

sounds like Ron has an even better idea. I was thinking how a guy do it with a drill and never even thought about a steel adapter.

I repair lots of ferrules from hitting rocks while shooting at groundhogs.

Hold the broadhead in a vice or channel locks, then stick a closed needle nose pliers into the ferrule. Push it in with some force while twisting back and forth. You can round out dents or egg shaped ferrules pretty easily this way.
