Visited EagleWing Bows Today
« on: January 10, 2012, 12:36:00 AM »
I received a reply to my email yesterday that Steve was ready to do the final sanding and finish on my new Talon II static tip recurve. I had ordered the bow in November and was pleasently surprised to hear it was almost done.
Steve explained to me when I was ordering that he only takes in six bow orders at a time so he does not get behind, and I was number six.

Steve is only about 10 minutes form my work, so after my last afternoon meeting I jumped in my truck and knocked on his door in under that time.

First, let me say that Steve was as nice and polite as he was on the phone when I was asking him all kinds of questions about his static-tip Talons.

To make a long story short we had a great visit and my bow is in the final steps to coming home with me soon.
After much discussion with Steve I decided on one of his "Hunter" models that uses gray action wood for the riser with black glass on the limbs (I did go with the foam-core on my limbs)The riser is not big or blocky and melts into the limbs like a one piece bow.
The draw was extremely smooth and I cannot wait to  shoot some fir shafts through her.The bow balances well and points like an extension of my arm. Elk beware this season.

Anyway, I usually do not post a whole lot here, but I wanted to share my experience with all of you as Oregon has added another great bowyer to her fame.

God bless,
Paul

I doubt the pleasant visit quelled your anticipation.

She will be nice.

Paul, the pleasure was mine. I really enjoyed meeting one of the Tradgangers and never met anyone that has a better personality than Paul. The man just beams.
God blesses me with the best customers and friends.

God bless you all, Steve
