New Cumberland, PA. Anyone"?

I guess me and wthe wife are visiting her brother in new Cumberland PA this year.. well 1st thing I want to know is whats there to hunt or wheres the closest public spot thats pretty good to hunt.

does anyone here know the area?

Feel free to shoot me a message and I can try to help.  I live in York and work in Harrisburg, which is close to where you will be visiting.  Depending on the time of year you are here, you may want to bring your flyrod instead of the bow.

I second the fly rod suggestion. Central PA is hunted pretty hard these days... been hearing a lot of complaints about the deer population.

oh I have some flyrods,, your saying opening week isn't too good?  don't want to go down when its too cold for the family.  sometimes I have a Japanese Tenkara fly rod which collapses with me when I'm hunting certain areas.   its japanese fly fishing with no reel so its very easy to carry around while hunting
