Nock size?
«

Is it okay to have 9/32 nocks on 1916 shafts? There is exposed aluminum seen where the nock does not go all the way down to the paint on my Legacy arrows. Should I go up a size?

I shoot the 9/32 nock on my 1918 shafts and have no problems. Have also used the 5/16 nock and no problems there either.

On Easton's 2005 catalog I have, the nocks for a 1916 are listed for 9/32".

I guess it does not look the best in my eyes with a white nock and wrap to have a metal ring in the middle of it. OCD on my part.

I only use 9/32 nocks on my 1916 Legacy's. They work great (indoor shooting, 3D, stump shooting). I don't worry about the exposed aluminum on the exposed taper.

Yes, black it out if it bothers you. If it bothers the deer, you've let it get waaaaay too close and I want to know your scent control secret!
