New to me skullworks knife WOW
« on: January 27, 2012, 10:51:00 AM »
Just learned about these knives a month or so ago and watched the classifieds patiently--This it what I found and purchased.  :)  Pretty nice work, and incredibly sharp. Anyone know how they hold an edge once used?

They hold an edge very well, i can take care of a hog with no problem. I always touch it up after with my KEM knife sharpener after because it is much easier to keep a knife sharp than to let it go and start from scratch.

Very nice! I have a couple of Clarence's Damascas knives. He does excellent work.

I like the Damascas so much I picked-up a full-tang hatchet of it. Takes, and holds an edge well. I was able to use my KME on it and it shaves hair like a broadhead!

Not sure of the grade of steel as I picked it up off the classifieds bit it is nickel plated Damascus-That I know for certain. I anxious to break it in on a whitetail next fall. I have another on order to gift it to a good friend of mine who is just getting into hunting.
