29" would need 225 gr, 30" would be 200.

Funny I see this.

After my usual practice round of cedars last night I pulled out my doz of 2117's that I put together for a trial run some months ago. It was stunning how well they shoot everytime I do this. For many years, been pretty much stuck to cedars that I make up ...just because. But these alums, it was like I was watching them all the way to the target zone. Every shot was an exact repeat. I'm just an average shooter, certainly don't get that with my cedars due to slight variances.

Even have some GT carbons that are fast as heck, shoot straight, but about 12-18 inches right everytime. My confidence is just not there with them, and I get tired of tinkering with them, weights, etc.

Its hard to argue with these 2117 results. I usually don't care to hunt with them because of the noise/clink factor sometimes. But I may have to give them another serious attempt!

You could go to a 2020, afew ponds less in spine and 5/16 shaft. Or a 2018, 10lb les spine 5/16 and about the same weight as a 2117.
