My selfbow turned out fine
« on: January 31, 2012, 06:18:00 PM »
I have attempted to make several selfbows but all I have to show for them is a pile of broken sticks.  That is until now.   :jumper:

Thanks to all that have given me advice along the way and a special thanks to Eric for my  gizmo.

I think he said it was hickory, Roy, but the siren in the background didn't do this deaf old fart any favors either.

Anyway, nice job on the bow, Pac. I'd like to see specs too. I think you may have said, but like Mudd, I couldn't make it out.

I recently finished a hickory board bow myself. It came out great and shoots just fine. Pretty cool for under $10...string included!

Nice job on your bow!  I hope whoever was running those sirens weren't after you!  Nice shooting by the way!     :clapper:

Sorry about the sirens in the background.  The bow was shooting so fast for a piece of wood the local police thought I must have been breaking some kind of speeding law.

62" hickory bow
45@26
5/16 .92 arrows

I started on this bow over a year ago.  Got side tracted and didn't get back to it until about a month ago.  Long time coming but worth the wait.
