« on: February 07, 2012, 04:31:00 PM »
This is my first real go at carbons. I just ordered some CX 150 from big jim. Can you crown dip and crest on the carbon shaft. If so what paint works best. If you have pics of them could you post them please.

Thanks
Jeff

You just need to plug the end of the shaft with something. I think 3Rivers sells a little plug.

I personally use spray on paint. The Krylon for plastics works great!

I plug the hole with old nocks, no matter what you use you will get a little ring at the bottom.I have found that "Testors" model paint works the best.It has really good coverage, and alot of get colors .Testors works really good if you want to marble the crown.
