Feather Help
« on: February 11, 2012, 03:50:00 PM »
What should the distance be from the valley of the nock to the back of the feather? Not sure if it matters I am using 5 inch feathers.
Thanks
Hopefully you will see me as a better person today than I was yesterday..

i do about an inch. give on take. if i ut a fur tracer on i tend to go forward a litte more. also the type of feather shape makes a difference. i like to touch the tip of a shield to the tip of my nose as sort of aa reference point.
"SHOOT STRAIT" - something im still working twards

I like it far enough away so I don't feel it on my face.  Some like to feel the feather.  Just make sure you have enough room for your fingers.

Far enough forward so your fingers (with gloves during hunting season) don't touch the feathers and make noise.
