What tool do you guys use to bevel the footing on your carbon arrow?

I'm assuming you're talking about the rear edge of the short aluminum shafting that is glued onto the end of a carbon arrow. If so, I just put the piece of aluminum arrow shafting in the end of my drill, like it were a drill bit, and pull the trigger on the drill and spin the end of the aluminum shafting on a flat bastard file at an angle until it becomes the chamfer that I desire. Makes it much easier to pull my arrow out of bag targets with the chamfer on the rear edge.

I use a little cone shaped grinding stone made for a dremel. Use it on inside and for outside bevel.

say Douglas what type broadhead is that in your picture. bought a bucket full of old heads awhile ago and there were a few of them in there.

I use a chamfer tool on the inside and then bevel the outside edge on my disk sander to make it easier to pull from targets.

I use a flap sander in my dril press>>>---> then put the footing on an old arrow shaft(sticking out a little) and round the frount turn it around and rear edges. Makes it much easier to pull from targets and looks good.
